What can I expect?
If you are new to The Lakes, you may want some questions answered before you visit. Here's a look at what
you can expect as you walk through our doors this weekend.
Where do I go?
As you enter the parking lot of The Lakes Church, there will be someone directing you to a good parking
spot. When you enter the building, greeters will be available to assist you with your children, help you
get refreshments, and direct you to the Connection Booth or worship center. Feel free to sit anywhere you
like.
What should I wear?
Whatever you are comfortable in wearing works for us. People at The Lakes dress in a wide range of attire…
from shorts & T-shirts to their Sunday best.
What should I expect?
You will find our Connection Booth in the center of the lobby as you come in. A member of our Hospitality
Team will be available to greet you and answer any questions you may have. They will hand you a connection
card and a copy of this week’s bulletin. Coffee, juice and donuts are also available in the lobby. Enjoy
talking with new friends, or take your refreshments to your seat if you prefer.
Service will begin at 10 AM. The band will play one song and then Pastor Frank will let you
know about the week’s upcoming events and activities. Several more songs will be played and sung, and then
Pastor Frank will come up to communicate an uplifting, encouraging and practical message. We close our
service by giving our regular attendees a chance to celebrate God’s blessings through giving. You are
welcome to participate, but there is no expectation for you to.
Please feel free to stay and hang out while enjoying coffee and refreshments with us after service. Also, if
you filled out the connection card you were given, this would be a great time to drop that off in one of the
collection boxes. During this time, our pastoral staff will be available for prayer and individual
encouragement if you desire.
What about my kids?
While you are in the main service, your kids will be both taught and entertained by quality, age-specific
programs staffed by a trained and talented team of workers.
Our Early Childhood department includes nursery care (birth – 18month) and classes for your toddler
(19 months to 36 months) and Pre-K kids (3 to 5 years). To help keep you from worrying about your little
ones, each family will be given a pager so you can be notified if your child has any type of need during
service.
Your school age children (K5 thru 11 years) can attend Xtreme Kidz, a special setting designed just for them-
complete with sound, lights, music, teaching, and fun!
